Work frames · Octans · Caelum · Pyxis · Carina · Fornax
Every NOCTRA Work frame is listed with three numbers. Here is how to read them, check them against a pair you already own, and match the size, shape and bridge to your face. It takes about two minutes.

1. Read the numbers: 54□19-147
Each frame is listed with three measurements in millimetres. On Octans they read 54□19-147:
54 · lens width. The width of one lens at its widest point.
19 · bridge width. The gap between the two lenses, where the frame rests on your nose.
147 · temple length. The arm, from the hinge to the tip behind your ear.
The □ just separates lens width from bridge width. Most frames print the same three numbers on the inside of a temple arm.
2. Measure with a pair you already own
Find glasses or sunglasses that fit you well and look on the inside of a temple arm for three numbers, such as 52□20-145. Compare them with the size chart below. A lens width within about 2 mm and a bridge within 1–2 mm of your current pair will usually feel familiar. Temples of 145–150 mm suit most adults, and most NOCTRA Work frames sit between 146 and 148 mm. Fornax is the exception at 140 mm, which may feel short on a wide head or larger face.
3. No pair to hand? Use a bank card
Any standard bank or loyalty card is 85.6 mm long, so it works as a pocket ruler. In front of a mirror, hold the long edge flat across your face just below your eyes, starting at the outside edge of one temple. Mark where it ends, slide it along, and see how many card lengths reach the other temple.
Small face: up to about 1½ card lengths (≈130 mm or less).
Medium face: between 1½ and roughly 1⅝ card lengths (≈130–140 mm).
Wide face: more than about 1⅝ card lengths (over ≈140 mm).
A ruler or tape measure works too: measure straight across, temple to temple.
4. Match your face width
Small: Pyxis (49 mm lens) and Carina (51 mm lens).
Medium: Carina (51 mm), Caelum (52 mm) and Octans (54 mm).
Wide: Octans (54 mm) and Fornax (57 mm, oversized).

5. Face shape guide
A simple rule: contrast your face shape and match your face size. These are guides, not rules, so wear what you love.
Round (soft curves, similar width and length): angular fronts add structure. Try Octans or Caelum.
Square (strong jaw, broad forehead): curves soften the lines. Try Pyxis or Carina.
Oval (balanced, slightly longer than wide): most shapes work, so choose by width. Fornax if you want a statement.
Heart (wider forehead, narrower chin): lighter, rounder shapes balance the brow. Try Carina or Pyxis.
Long (face noticeably longer than wide): bigger, bolder fronts break up the length. Try Fornax or Octans.
6. Nose bridge
Low or flat bridge: choose Pyxis. Its adjustable nose pads can be set to lift the frame off your cheeks and keep it from sliding. It is the best option in the range for low bridges.
Wider nose: Caelum has the widest bridge in the range at 22 mm.
Average bridge: Octans and Carina both have a 19 mm bridge.
Narrow or high bridge: Fornax has the narrowest bridge at 17 mm, so it sits best on a medium to high bridge. Its 140 mm temples are also the shortest in the range, so if you have a wide head or a larger face they may feel short. Check the temple length on a pair you already own.
